would like to thank all of you, who have took the time to visit my site over the years, it's been made!! Going on the 3rd
year in 2009
Though, I
have been a breeder going on 9 years now..This site has been fun to create and I truly hope you all have enjoyed my memories
and thoughts ..

Penny n Mini Me's puppies are almost 5 weeks old now, they have been dewormed
2 times and are eating puppy food (moistened) and drinking water,... These lil ones are running all over the place now play
fighting with each other,barking jumping.. checking out everything they can find...They are no longer nursing off mom..
But still look for her, Mom gives them love and kisses ...
They are Building muscles and baby teeth are all coming in..EVERYTHING goes in
their mouths...they are truly sweethearts and YES, I'm spoiling them as much as I can, the next few weeks will fly by
and soon they will be spoiled by their owners!!!
6 WEEK OLD blanket monkeys
theses babies are all over the place into everything so active running,
bouncing, pouncing...they are not shy in the least, they love all the attention and than some...very active lil circus clowns
...always making me laugh...they are truly what a bully baby is all about!!
7 weeks will be 8 weeks on saturday and going home this weekend !!!
Let me tell you about these lil ones....they have been so spoiled and socialized
nothing scares them..this week we have been having a great time getting used to flooring ...I like to keep them on news paper
as long as possible they don't slip as much.. this kept them to build leg muscles, without pulled muscles.. I do have a shy
puppy though .. that's kirsten's ..she's just no so trusting of the floor as the other 3...these babies are fast ..they will
be ahead of you by the time you get to the other end of the room... But I'm sure in a day she'll past them..It's really important
as these babies grow to have a good solid area for them to walk on ...blankets are great when they are starting out ...carpet
gets soiled and dirty.. and is not the best because than they think they can do their business on carpet ...the pictures I
upload tonite will be stacked pictures ..just to show you the quality of these babies, I have a 10 foot area they
play in, set up in my livingroom, This also helps them with being crate trained ..I'm truly going to miss these lil ones but
I also know their wonderful families are waiting for them with excitement and will be so thrilled to have them home...Kathy
8 weeks old and 2 are gone home,
Yes, n No, I did and didn't cry ( laughs) I'm so happy to see the love,joy
excitement in their new owners faces, the smiles the puppies feeling very comfy with them also...It may have seem to be life
time for them to turn 8 weeks old ( laughs)but they are very much worth the wait!!!
Now their dreams have come true. I'm thrilled with my puppy's new owners,
there awesome and I know there gone to wonderful loving homes and the lovely gifts I have received also from them..(
you shouldn't have, thank you so much ) adding them to my bulldog collection, Melita the coffee taste amazing thank you all!!..
The other 2 girls leave this friday they will be 9 weeks old, temperatures are
suppose to be warmer so with hope and a lil luck mother nature will work with us .....Kathy
2009 NEWS AND PLANS
Alot of you are aware of my plans for 2009 2010 and even 2011
How can I plan this far ahead?? It's easy I'm relying on, my knowledge
of my dogs, friends I have made, and plans in the works.. The litters I have planned have been in the works for
awhile, knowing some of my adults are retired, I have to bring in new lines, But I don't just want any lines, I want
quality,standard and of course temperament..Pedigree hmmm, I want something different, something no one else has alot of ..there
are alot of pretty boy lines, alot of cherokee etc...Do you know alot of champions don't come from champion parents..the sire
maybe but not the female...
To be honest with you my thoughts on this matter over the years ..it's the
sire that produces champions not the mom..I could be wrong but if you look at any champion pup its the sire that's always
championed .. they do have more of a structure ( bulldog look than most females) I do plan on bringing in 3 new puppies
into my lines a male and 2 female, these are not my own lines, I plan to keep back but 3 other puppies from a breeder friend
of mine in the states..I will know more come Feb once Sheryl lets me know if her girls are bred..
Right now Ava and Buddah have been bred (still are) over the holidays ..Looking
forward to both these litters in Feb..Will keep you posted on these 2 ..Kathy

when you chew something..your not suppose too you put your head down..already
knowing your guilty!!

when you sit you sit with one leg under you n one out to the side!!
or you sit with your front feet in between your back feet!!

when one of your owners comes home later than normal your the one that's happy
to see them!!
when you can stick your tongue out at someone and get away with it!!
When your loved regardless if you fart, belech,chew things,snore, Your a bulldog when you own the ones that
love you!!!

WEATHER CHANGE AND YOUR DOG
Can dogs get colds? Yes they can ... this weather change is hard on every
living thing not just us but also pets..The dampness and the air is heavier and it holds viruses more so than anything. I
know this all too well from experience ( laughs) you can set your clock to the times, I get sick in the year once
in the fall and once in the spring..always .. It's that in between weather that cause flues and illness.. Some dogs like
wearing clothes, some don't it all depends if they have been used to it as a puppy growing up... When it's cold out for you
it's chilly for them...If you notice your dog's nose running ..or if they have a fever ...they might have caught a cold bug
.. best thing is to take your pet into the vets to have it checked over..and get it on the medication your vet gives you ..because
it can worsen and they get can get infections which is even harder to treat ..Kathy
Should Bulldogs go through obedience training?? Answer is: YES
What makes a good dog, a good dog and a bad one, a bad one??..Time, Patience, Understanding,Discipline,and
work!!
Bulldogs are bulldogs, they are bullies they have to be taught right from wrong ..they
need to know who is the pack leader.. and they will push your buttons for this role..you will find this more so with a male
puppy than a female..I think anyone who has plans on purchasing a bulldog or has a bulldog can benefit from obedience classes,
to help understand the way your puppy thinks and reacts to situations..There is no such thing as a bad dog.. just lack of
understanding and training ..A puppy is like the terrible 2 stage of a child, always into things ..doesn't understand NO..and
is willing to test it's owners limits ...Smile, they do grow out of this ...but with the right guidance..just like any puppy
..they will learn if taught correctly with understanding, patience,guidance
I believe all puppies need possitive discipline...and there are specialist that have gone
through hours of training that can provide and teach you how to train your puppy in a positive manner.. just look on line
in your area ...or ask your vet I'm sure you'll find your answer reap the rewards with satisfying results..
When it comes to training...think of a child who has gotten away with everything..they
mouth back, they don't listen, want everything that isn't theirs, do those tantrums in the store ( laughs, I'm sure you have
seen a child like this in your life time) ok now put this with your puppy ok
mouthing back = this is when the puppy will bark at you, bark til his lil front feet come
off the ground..
don't listen = you can say NO .. STOP and they just carry on like your not even there
Want everything that isn't theirs = those lovely shoes are tastey wallets,belts,furniture,pant
legs, everything you just left there laying there they want and will try n claim it as theirs
tantrums = this is where your trying to go for a walk and the puppy will lay down, jump
around, kick.. pull back..shake it's head..twist, refuse to do what you want them to do.. This is a puppy not trained..
I think the biggest thing is when people see a bulldog for the first time ..they see a
well mannered dog ..one that listens to the owner, one that behaves..They look so cute, there not hyper, they are being such
sweet lil angels, just sitting there looking so adoreable....they love the attention...that's because they have grown out
of the terrible 2 stage and they have been trained well by their owners..They have been taught right from wrong ..they listen
to the commands they were taught..and the owners spent alot of time with their bully babies to get them this way ..So please
remember when your thinking of getting a bulldog puppy they are just that puppies until they are trained other wise...Kathy

TO BE A BREEDER OR NOT
Over the years I have recieved several emails and phone conversations on
this very matter...
Alot are people who have already purchased a PET bulldogs and they are thinking
of getting into breeding.
LISTEN UP for all the ones thinking about turning your bully (i have
always wanted a bulldog all my life) into a breeding bitch ... I am experienced in the pain and heartache of being a
breeder..Through out my site you have read some of my heartache.. but my heartache and loss is nothing compared to some of
what others have gone through ..In this area i'm going to touch base on a few of them...please if links are provided please
click them to educate yourself than you can deside if your bully you love so much is worth becoming a breeder ...Alot say I
love my bulldogs and I would like one just like him or her..
WRONG there is never another bulldog that will be the same as the one you have..markings
temperament, personalities are all different.
Some will think WOW what i paid for this one we could have a litter and make
money WRONG again
Chances are you will lose money ...
Go through this with me !!!
You have gone through the C section now your home..what do we do ?lets sit down
n have a coffee n relax..NOOOO you have things to do (laughs)
first 2 weeks of a puppies life you feed them well I do anyways every 2 hrs..I
place them with the mom to eat i sit there make sure they are getting milk for the whole 45 mins .. than i have to burp
them stimulate them and make sure they are getting milk etc.
YES thats 24 hrs around the clock .. hmm NO get up!!! you can't sleep your 8
hrs a nite here (laughs) those babies need you they depend on you to thrive..
So now your a walking zombie...after the 2days before your female had them and
now your on day 3 after they were brough home ..huh what did you say ?? your eyes half closed .. making coffee you hear them
whine? are they cold to hot? do they have gas? stomache ache? are they out of the towels ? what one didnt have a bowl movement
..is it him? is he constipated? ok so you go n check yes its him, hes got a stomache ache now what do i do?
aww so as your trying to solve this problem the phone rings ... someone is at
your door ...your female needs to go outside..kids are wanting attention .. what do you make for supper ? WOW .. time
to feed the puppies again ...time flies when its on every 2 hr feeding time ..SLEEP what is that? oh No i had a hair
appointment, dentist, doctors, they are going to have to be rebooked .. you wont have the time to do those things the
first 2 weeks, those babies need YOU 24 hrs a day ...ok grab ur coffee ... relax for abit ... have you ate? when was
the last time you ate? you can't remember ??? (laughs) I'm writing this at 5:15 AM just grabbed my coffee and relaxing before
i feed them again at 7AM ...am I tired YES...Ugh my house..floors need to be done, laundry ...I'll do that on my next
break at more than likely 9:45 AM...If you think I'm trying to make this seem hard I'm not its actually how it is... ok maybe
i'm being a lil on the jokitive side about it .. since i do have experience ...but you don't get to sleep until these babies
are well on their way ...that's no joke very serious on that ..I have worked 12 hours shifts in factories before ..thats easy
... sleeping an hour here n there around the clock trying to maintain a house hold and everything that goes with being a mom
is a total other thing plus looking after these babies n the mom and my other bullies !!!
Social life what's that ? ...Heck if you make it to the local corner store
your doing awesome !!!
I will add on to this as I can.... Breeders if you have any input a phase
a paragraph you think needs to be added please email it it to me ...I'm on day 3 of this litter, so if there are typos
please forgive me i'll proof read it some other time (laughs) Kat

Ok this is Day 4 for me today at 11AM they are 3 days old YAYYYY ...
Tired hmm NO i actually got 6 hrs sleep since it was friday nite my daughter
Shawna and Jay watched the puppies and fed them ..for 2 feedings.
I feel refreshed, wonderful and ready to go!!!
My plans for today... feed n look after lil ones, give baths to 4 bullies and
clean my house HA!! wish me luck on all this ...The babies for sure, thats a given ..
I should be able to get 2 bullies a bath in between feedings so there goes 6
hrs than ok hmmm Maybe tomorrow on the other things ( laughs)ok i will need a couple hours sleep during the day here ... cause
i'll be the one up all nite again ... talk soon Kathy

Hi Kathy, This may be a controversial email because I have definite opinions about casual Bulldog
breeding. Many bulldog owners think their dog is so cute, they should breed them. Breeding Bulldogs is a complicated,
expensive, and labor intensive process that I recommend only to experienced breeders. I ran across a case study
of one such pregnancy at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital. Many of you may be familiar with this hospital because it
is featured on Emergency Vets on the Animal Planet. Anyway, I know Dr Kevin Fitzgerald and Dr Messinger, they
were two of Vivy's many vets. And Alameda East is a class A facility. This story illustrated the problems you can
run into when you breed your bulldog. And the importance of having great vet services available to you when you need

When, I have to go to the dollar store, to purchase
wash cloths for puppies or other things, When I go to Walmart to purchase puppy blankets, When I go to Petsmart to purchase
dog food,treats toys... do you know how easy it is .. to put a smile on your face!! to make you feel like you have done
something special!!
Pick up a couple extra items and drop them off to your
local animal shelter...It doesn't have to be just for puppies or dogs ... food,toys dishes,treats,can lids,bleach,spray bottles,
leashes,collars,shampoo,cat litter, climbers etc
these are things all the shelters need and go through
so much of...call your local shelter and ask them what they really need.. I'm sure you would be surprised of the list they
will provide you with!!

A breeder
A breeder is someone who will never stop learning, who doesn't think they know it all.
Who worries,cries,sheds tears,understands the heartache and can feel another breeder's, owner's pain
loss or sorrow.
Who doesn't have the best of things,they put off getting the new furniture, the corner of their couch ,table
legs have teeth marks in them but there is still some wood left for more chews, for new litters coming up.
A outfit for them isn't complete with out hair or drool. They don't socialize much because there at home waiting
for that female that could have a litter at any point in time.
They answer the phone and listen to owners who have concerns about their puppy or dog even if they never got
the dog from them.
A breeder isn't concerned about looking good the lines around their eyes are from days of hardly no sleep
and raising litters.
Their joints crack from all the bending down to feed a litter and picking up puppies
Their eyes, have been filled with tears from joy and sorrow
Their heart races from excitement and stress
Their arms are strong can hold 3 puppies and they can also pick up a full grown adult dog and rush it to the
vets
Their ears ache from countless phone conversations, but would never hang up to answer a question or concern
A breeder can remain calm in a situation where many others would freak
A breeder gives up alot of time, no vacations or parties because they have a litter to feed or a female ready
to have a litter
A breeder is always trying to better their lines and produce what they themselves would want in a puppy
A breeder gets attached to each one of their dogs and it's as hard on them as a child leaving home when they
have to place one.
A breeder is a student and a teacher and should open their arms to any new comer that wants to get into this
breed and share with them their knowledge and experience.
A breeder is someone that will help another breeder be it talking about a health issue or raising a litter
or helping to find a loving home for a puppy
A breeder should always be there to answer questions and concerns about one of their own puppies and would
love to hear from each family any concerns about their puppy's health and well being the good and the bad.. to better their
lines and health.
A breeder is not wealthy...they put back into their dogs, new kennel area, new runs, crates, beds, vet bills,fencing,food,treats,
new lines,etc
A breeder is a new friend to any puppy owner, and should always be there for them regardless of the time day
or nite.
A breeder is strong mind body spirit but can be so gentle when it comes to a newborn.
A breeder is willing to spend hours looking after a sick or weak puppy to get it to thrive and live.
A breeder is a breeder for many reasons but most of all their love for the breed!!!

When it comes to this breed there is
NO stupid question to ask.
To ask is to learn and educate yourself on the life time committment
your willing to make by purchasing a bulldog puppy.
I have had so many people say "Kathy this may sound stupid" but
is it true !!!
A bulldog is not for everyone?? the answer is an easy one .. No
there not, if you live an active life style and your not home alot. you'd be better off with a dog that can stay outside,
unattended and doesn't look and need total love through out the day.
Do bulldog smell ??? Hmmm I think all dog have an odor (laughs)
Bullies don't smell any worse, than any other dog, they require
baths and brushing and ear cleaning, daily face washes and rope cleaning other than that, thats the high maintance of
a bulldog, not hard now is it ??
Bulldogs basic requirements
LOVE,understanding,compassion,loyality,
commitment,daily face washes,brushing a couple times a week,bathing
every 2 weeks, nails trimmed,good diet, exercise,and your time, regular vet check ups.
Not much difference than any other dog,
Do bulldogs snore,pass gas, belch and drool???
hmm yes to the first 3 lol ... my bullies don't drool only
when they drink they can get some on the floor ..
Is a male pup better than a female pup???
the answer to this question is NO, but it depends on what the person
is looking for in their bully
Females are smaller than males, once the puppies are spayed/neutered
in behavior wise I dont see a difference temperament wise, male will always like to ruff house more than females ..(but are
humans any different)laughs,men play more aggressive sports than females, but they can be teddy bears also..
only time I would suggest a female pup is if they already have
a male dog, their male will accept a female more so than a male.
females live fine together males don't
there is always going to be an alpha role conflict, I dont care
who says anything other wise. At some point in time 2 males will get into it and its not just the bulldog breed its every
breed,right back to the wolf pack, there is always going to be a alpha role
Now the females can live together fine, providing they are not in
heat at the same time, just like people they can get cranky.
When you find your breeder, if for some reason you doubt their ethics,
or have concerns about the care of a puppy.
This breeder is not the one for you .. you have to establish a bond
between each other, an understanding your breeder should always be there for you regardless the age of your Bully ...they
should want to know everything about that pup as it grows up.
To make sure their lines are producing healthy bulldogs that live
a long life time.
